Yeshua/Yshua: Why do you frequently use Jesus Hebrew name?
Whether some readers realize it or not, TNN Online is a Messianic website which is geared toward presenting Christians to the Hebraic Roots of our faith. In using the Messiahs given Hebrew name of Yeshua/Yshua ([Wvy), as opposed to using Jesus, we reveal an element of our faith that has remained suppressed for almost two millennia. And just as Yeshua is our Savior, so does His name mean He is salvation (Matthew 1:21). Whenever you see the word salvation in the Hebrew Scriptures, it is probably the improper noun form yeshuah (h[Wvy), or a derivation of it. Please note that we are not of the position that the English name Jesus is pagan and a derivative of Zeus as some have advocated.
