Year round program vs. summer program?

0

Year Round funding covers expenses for programs that run anytime between January 1st – December 31st. Summer (Primetime) funding covers expenses for programs that run for 10 weeks between June (usually the last week) and September (usually the first week). (Year round funding i.e. – if your agency runs a program that actually runs from January – December, like a youth counseling program or a job readiness program, you would apply for funding for the entire year, 12 months; if your agency runs a program that only operates during the school time session, you would apply for funding for only 10 months out of the year; January – June and September – December). In this case, although an agency can choose to expend some of your YDDP or SDPP dollars during the summer, you are not contracted to operate your program to the same degree.
