Will CakeTalking work with SONAR X1?
Our independent developer, David Pinto, has committed to updating his CakeTalking for SONAR scripts to work with SONAR X1. However, as Cakewalk Music Software (the company) has completely redesigned the interface for their X1 version of SONAR, it may be many more months before CakeTalking will be compatible with X1. In the meantime, we can continue to sell new units of SONAR 8.5 as well as upgrades. Under a special arrangement with the people at cakewalk Music Software, Dancing Dots will include a copy of SONAR X1 with each copy of 8.5 we supply to our customers who use CakeTalking. We can only maintain this offer as long as the people at Cakewalk can extend it. When CakeTalking for SONAR X1 is ready, you will have the option to order an upgrade to that version of CakeTalking. At this time, we cannot predict what the upgrade price for CakeTalking for SONAR X1 will be. It is important to understand that SONAR X1 is almost identical to SONAR 8.5 with the exception of a new channel strip
