Not all BBC iPlayer programmes are available in the default video for TV playback. On 21 August, a new software upgrade was made available to address a compatibility issue with the H.264 streaming for BBC iPlayer. Please make sure that your SmartBox is up-to-date (v4.7.46-30)for the SmartBox8000 and SmartBox7000, and v4.8.00-01 for the Technika SmartBox 8320HD) If the default video for the programme you’ve selected is not available, the H.264 streaming video will be initiated. You can also manually start viewing in H.264 streaming mode please press the TV (or HDTV) key on the remote control when on the programme info page (when the “Programme Info” button below the photo is highlighted).
