Why was TurboTAP created?
Although a very useful product for Active Duty members, TurboTAP was actually developed to serve the unique needs of the National Guard and Reserve Components. Since September 11, 2001, the number of Guard and Reserve servicemembers recalled to active duty in support of the “Long War” (OIF, OEF) has significantly increased. TurboTAP provides them with information about the benefits they’ve earned and the supportive resources that are available as they transition back and forth between their military and civilian careers and communities.
