Why Nepalis Manpower?
The Nepalis workforce engaged in other countries is quite significant considering Nepal’s size. There are several factors for this to happen. The first among them is Nepalis’ sheer honesty, sincerity and absolute devotion to duty, at the risk of self-sacrifice. The first known case of Nepalis joining the workforce of other countries happened some time in the 18 century. A group of Nepalis joined the army of Ranjit Singh, King of Punjab, at Lahore and that was followed by the British Indian East Coy, which massively started enrolling the Nepalis, popularly known as Gurkha, in the British Indian Army, after they found the diminutive Gurkhas courage and dedication during war with Nepal in 1814, I Nalapani in Dehradun.
