Why metal free dental crowns and bridges?
Dental crowns (caps) and bridges used to be made of porcelain bonded to metal. This often resulted in visible black margins, unnatural looking teeth, and, after a few years, gum tissue irritation. We now use metal-free porcelain crowns and bridges in order to create a more natural looking smile. These non-metal restorations allow the natural tooth color to show through, which results in better color matching. Due to its strength, porcelain can actually increase the strength of your tooth. Reactions to metal allergies are also avoided with all-porcelain crowns.
