Why is today’s Google Doodle showing a barcode?
It’s always interesting how Google gets people to wonder what the heck their doodle displays. It makes people think. I thought that it may have something to do with the anniversary of the barcode or something because they have done that in the past. Just like the time when they mispelled google with a double “ll” because it was Google’s 11th birthday. Well, today’s explanation is this. After a little research on the barcode, it shows that it is the barcode’s 57th year since it was officially patented back in October 7, 1952. And if you scan the barcode that Google presents on their page, they said that it reads GOOGLE or gOOGLE. Some comments even say that it reads googleg with an extra “g” in the end. Regardless, it’s a clever way to get people’s attention. It got mine.
