Why is there no option for ordering a computer or an Internet connection?
Due to the cost of rental, the AHA does not provide laptop or desktop computers for sessions. Those requesting computer projectors for PowerPoint presentations must supply their own laptop computers. Except in extraordinary circumstances, the AHA will not provide internet connections. All hotels maintain an exclusive on this service and typically charge from $500 to $600 per room, per day, for installation and usage. Because it is a source of revenue for the hotel, wireless or other gratis access is unavailable in most meeting rooms. Those wishing to present information from a web site should save it to a CD ROM or USB memory device.
