The update site link in the 3.0 and 3.0.1 features for Eclipse 3.3 points to the Mylyn for Eclipse 3.4 update site (bug 244618). An attempt to update will result in an error: “Mylyn Task List (Required) (3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.ui (3.4.0.I20070918)”, or later version.” To resolve the error follow these steps: • Open update Help → Software Updates → Find and Install… • Select Search for new features… and Next • Uncheck Mylyn. Add a New Remote Site: • Name: Mylyn for Eclipse 3.3 • URL: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/e3.3. Make sure the new site is selected and select Finish to proceed with the update.
