Why is printing/plotting so expensive?
Materials are very expensive. Your technology fee helps pay for the hardware and software you use in the CADGIS lab, but those items which need to be continually replaced (i.e. – paper and ink) cannot be paid for by the technology fee because of the tech fee rules. These items, and partial pay for the CADGIS “techs”, are the cost of your print. Also CADGIS prices are generally lower than off-campus commercial services.
