Why is Measure R Needed?
Our schools are outdated and inadequate by today’s standards. The average age of our schools is nearly 25 years old, and Brookside Elementary School, our oldest, was first constructed in 1967. In order to provide local children with the same classrooms and school facilities as other neighboring school districts, major repairs, upgrades, and classroom construction are necessary to bring our schools up to today’s standards.
