Why is magnetic resonance tomography used?
Magnetic resonance tomography is used to provide a visual image of all body tissue, in particular the non-bony structures, such as the abdomen, organs, articular cartilage, meniscus and the brain, without the use of x-rays. In this way, the slightest bodily alterations, such as small focuses of inflammation and irritations can be discovered. The MVZ in Helios has its own magnetic resonance tomography, with which necessary examinations may be carried out immediately on the premises.
