There are two primary reasons the Tide Totals points program is being implemented. First, the Athletics Department’s current allotments of football road game tickets cannot accommodate the current TIDE PRIDE members who for years have been guaranteed road game tickets – Ivory Club members, Skybox holders, and Scholarship Club members. With the upcoming addition of 38 skyboxes and 1,600 club seats in the Bryant-Denny Stadium north end zone, there are simply not enough road game tickets to be distributed to all those who have been receiving them, in addition to the patrons who will be occupying the new club seats and leasing the new skyboxes. Therefore, a new way to distribute road game tickets is needed.
