Why has BSAC enabled mixed gas use in rebreathers on branch dives?

0

It is clear that BSAC needed to give back to rebreather divers the depth range that is available to air and Nitrox open circuit divers. With the training agencies all agreeing on a maximum of 40 metres when breathing Nitrox mixes in rebreathers, the only way to achieve this was to enable the use of mixed gases. This provided BSAC with an opportunity to give parity to BSAC rebreather divers and open circuit divers on branch dives.
