Solution The SignalTap® II MEX function (MATLAB Executable) included with the Quartus® II software version 6.0 works only with the following versions of MATLAB: • Release 14 Original Release Version 7 • Release 14 Service Pack 1 Version 7.0.1 • Release 14 Service Pack 2 Version 7.0.4 If you have upgraded to a more recent version of the MATLAB software, revert to one of these versions to use the MEX function with the Quartus II software version 6.0. This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 6.1. If you cannot revert to an older version of the MATLAB software, or upgrade to a newer version of the Quartus II software, contact Altera Applications and reference the patch in SPR 208996. This patch works only with the stand-alone version of the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer included with the Quartus II Stand-Alone Programmer version 6.0 Service Pack 1. The patch does not affect your main Quartus II software installation.
