Why does the fleece on the drainage disintegrate over time under the screed?

0

Moisture entering the structure through the covering and “travelling through” from the top down to the drainage carries water-soluble lime with it. This can attack the fleece part of the drainage, making the drainage ineffective. To prevent this, AquaDrain® FE+ is equipped with an intelligent special fleece which works as a supporting layer when the screed is applied. Once the screed has thoroughly hardened, the fleece will gradually dissolve.
