Why do we require 3com network interface cards (ethernet cards)?
3com network cards are a high quality network card. We require students to use 3com because they are what we train our RCC’s to support. We can not train our RCC’s on every type of network card available, there are just to many. We have tested many different cards and found that 3com cards have fewer problems, they are easier to configure, and they have a lifetime guarantee. If you have any questions about the requirement, you can send an e-mail to the WCUTECK@wcu.edu .
