Why do I get hearburn a few minutes after taking Zoloft, and this only happens intermittently?
I have heard of people taking this type of medication having acid-reflux. BUT, I would talk to your doctor about your symptoms ASAP and let him/her know how serious they are. If you are feeling sick enough that you took yourself to the hospital, you should not mess around asking strangers on the internet for advice! (Even if we are nice strangers.) Talk to a professional and make sure you mention all other vitamins and meds you are taking. I hope you feel better very soon.
One of the side affects of Zoloft is indigestion. This is basically the same as heartburn which I take Aciphex for. It can cause pain like a heart attack. Acid coming into the throat which burns and pain in the chest radiating outward. Here is the website. http://www.pdrhealth.com/drug_info/rxdrugprofiles/drugs/zol1503.shtml I hope this helps.
