This is a known issue when installing to some Vista systems where Jaws PDF Editor v4 will give the error ‘PDFEditor.exe has stopped working’ when the application is first started after installation. If you have a ‘Jaws PDF Editor’ icon on your desktop, right click it and select ‘Run as Administrator’. This procedure should only need to be done once, and you should then be able to launch it in the usual way. If you do not have the desktop icon. locate the ‘PDFEditor.exe’ file under ‘Program Files\Global Graphics\Jaws PDF Desktop Suite\Jaws PDF Editor’. Note: When PDF Editor is part of the PDF Desktop Suite, the install folder may be in the following location: ‘C:\Program Files\Global Graphics\Jaws PDF Desktop Suite\Jaws PDF Editor’ Right click the ‘PDFEditor.exe’ file and select ‘Run as Administrator’, as above.
