Why do Australians hate Lebanese?
A few years ago the highest ranking Islamic cleric in Australia called women who walked around like Westerners (well look at how the average 20 something women dresses) “uncovered meat” and that it is no surprise that the get raped then. Sheik al-Hilali then said in a Ramadan sermon in a Sydney mosque, suggested that a group of Muslim men recently jailed for many years for gang rapes were not entirely to blame (see the link if you think I lie). This is not Western! It pisses me off a lot. The way I see it, these people are foreigners coming into Australia and then criticizing the Australian way of life and saying its Australian people’s fault if the women get gang raped and to avoid this they must wear the Islamic veil. I mean, honestly this really pisses me off and I’m not Australian even. Moving on, Lebanese people are mostly Muslim. This cleric was the highest ranking Islamic figure in the country. He got there through his popularity so it is safe to say the majority of the Lebanese
