The program we have been using called “Squirrelmail” has been nothing but headaches. It is cumbersome and slow – especially when dealing with large mailboxes. • Why is Open Webmail better? • MUCH faster! OWM uses POP rather than IMAP. It also keeps a list of the messages in your mailbox so that it does not have to build it from scratch each time. • Support for HTML e-mail both on the receiving and composing side. You can insert images into your e-mails now. • No file attachment limit. • You can manage your own autoresponders. • You can forward a copy of your mail to another address. • You can change your own password. • It has a nice little calendar program. • The address book is more robust. • You can easily view all of your folders with out having to subscribe. • And much more.
