Rheem pioneered the modulating furnace. They have had 15 years experience in this field, and only now is the competition offering similar products. Metro Mechanical Inc. has decided to specialize in this product because of its reliability and outstanding proven performance. Does the Mod 90 series have any extra expenses over other high efficiency furnaces? Yes, the furnace requires a more advanced thermostat to control it as well as different installation procedures. In most cases this adds roughly 10 to 20 percent to the cost. The main payback will be unprecedented comfort not possible with a standard HE furnace. Does Metro Mechanical Inc. have any other lines of furnaces available? Absolutely. Even though we specialize in the Modulating 90 series, we do offer other high-efficiency furnaces to fit the needs and budget of any customer. Although we no longer install mid-efficiency furnaces, there are many high-efficiency products that offer extremely high efficiency ratings.
