Why did hitler kill himself and how?
Apart from the fact that he had Russia knocking on the front door from east and the allied forced bombing their way through Berlin form the West, I believe he was slowly going insane. On some old recordings from when he sends a squad of Hitler Jugend out to battle, which were kept hidden in the years after the war, you can see how his hands shake constantly (they also added this little detail in Der Untergang, if anybody has seen it).
