Dancing has been shown to increase balance and steadiness and hence reduces the risk for falls. Recently however, dancing has been shown that it’s not only great exercise for the body, but that it’s also great exercise for your brain. Researchers at McGill University in Montreal conducted a study with a group of seniors between the ages of 62- 90 years of age. They examined the effects of Argentine Tango on balance and the aging brain. They discovered that the intricate footwork required to perform the tango, not only significantly improved balance and agility, but it also boosted brain power!
