Why corrugated metal?
A. The use of corrugated metal was inspired by butterflies! It all started because I thought I could paint both sides of a butterfly, one side on each side of the corrugations. That didnt work out but once I started painting a grevillea, then wattle it inspired a whole lot of other ideas and commissions. It is fun to work with because it such a different surface to work on. It is very Australian and creates a sense of drama and movement which I love. According to Feng Shui decorating in metal is good for prosperity. The Feng Shui Master Dr Jirong Zhang 2002 said, For prosperity decorate in metal. According to Feng Shui it should not be hung above the bed.
