To decant wines means to transfer the wine from the bottle to a specific decanter or carafe before drinking. Due to the storage in bottles, the wine can develop a solid deposit or sediment at the bottom, which can be easily separated by means of refilling (decanting). Red wines are decanted, timely, well before serving. The decanting process provides oxygen to the wine owing to the greater surface diameter of the decanter than bottle, enabling the wine to breathe. Please allow appropriate length of time at room temperature (up to 1 hour), so that the wine can fully develop its bouquet. Temperature of the Wines Before decanting and/or serving the wine, please store it at its appropriate temperature (red wines at 15 to 17 degrees C, white at 10 to 12 degrees C).
