Who writes UGI?
Until late 2006 the series editor and principal writer was Richard Buckley, who brought to the job a wide range of interests and international experience and a firmly independent approach, backed by solid research and analysis. Richard has since retired because of ill health, sobriefings are now commissioned from freelance journalists and specialists. UGI is always glad to hear from suitably qualified writers. The principal sources are recently published literature, government bodies, non-government organisations, interviews with experts and, of course, the internet. Every issue is reviewed by an independent specialist consultant. UGI lays great emphasis on keeping the texts clear, short and to the-point, and supporting them with high-quality graphics. Graphic design is by Jonathan Chapman of the Chapman Partnership.
