Who should write the letters?
• It is strongly recommended to include at least one academic recommendation and at least one professional recommendation. • If you have been out of school for three or more years, you may wish to submit two letters from professional referees. However, it is recommended to have at least one academic recommendation letter. • If you are still in school or recently graduated, at least one or two of the letters should come from an academic who is familiar with your course of studies. • Letters should be written by individuals who will write a good letter of recommendation. A big, important name who writes one or two lines is not as impressive as a professor or lecturer who writes a detailed letter about your strengths and experience.
