Torsten Carlius of Sweden defeated Al Sheahen of the USA for the WAVA presidency, succeeding longtime emperor Cesare Beccalli of Italy. Executive vice president is Tom Jordan of the USA, a meet promoter and track tour operator in Oregon who once worked for Track & Field News and wrote the biography “Pre.” WAVA has no palatial headquarters.
