Who owns the copyrights?
By Law, Xanfar Design Studio, LLC retains copyrights on all projects unless other arrangements were made during the signing an agreement at the beginning of any project. We retain these rights for use in noncompetitive, derivative works and in self-promotional materials. Upon receipt of full payment, including any charges for extra revisions, you have an unlimited, irrevocable, and transferable license to use the materials. This includes the right to create derivative works using other designers.
The photographers, their families, estates, trusts, or designated archive maintain control over the copyrights. These copyrights are stringently protected. Usage without permission is strictly forbidden. See Copyright Information for more information. • Do I need insurance? For initial and small collections, most people maintain their insurance coverage within their homeowner’s furnishings limit. Keep good records of all your fine art purchases. Larger collections usually seek out a more specific insurance policy at higher costs. Yes, but infrequently. Generally, we are more concerned with natural disasters. • Is there sales tax?
