EVALUATION FOR EDUCATION Evaluation (establishing equivalence of educational institutions, degrees and diplomas between different countries) is essential if a person who completed part or all of his/her education abroad wants to continue his/her studies in the United States . This type of evaluation lists each subject one has completed, the equivalent U.S. semester/credit hours, and provides a calculated grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. EVALUATION FOR EMPLOYMENT American employers tend to closely examine a potential employee’s educational background, especially if the applicant comes from a foreign country. Resumes are useful, but often fall short of conveying the full extent of education abroad. One is never sure whether the degrees listed on the resumes are valid.
