September 20, 2007 Who Moved the Glass Ceiling? involved a panel of women leaders in the entertainment business, including Kim Martin, General Manager of WE tv. The event looked at the impact of women in the industry over the past 30 years. Panelists discussed not only breaking the glass ceiling, but also the unique talents that women bring to the creative and business worlds and how women have changed the industry. The Future of the Past October 23, 2007 NYWIFT is committed to preserving and presenting the work of women filmmakers, as well as recording and preserving the stories of women in the industry. The Women’s Film Preservation Fund restores and preserves films in which women have had a major creative role. NYWIFT’s Archive Project conducts videotaped interviews with women leaders in the field (to be available online.)
