Who killed JR?
JR was shot, not killed. Kristin shot JR, she planted the gun in Sue Ellen’s closet. Sue Ellen figured it all out and confronted her at Southfork with the truth November 21, 1980 in an episode titled ‘Who Done it?’ JR was also shot several other times during the run of Dallas. In the first season J. R. was also shot on a hunting trip B. D. Calhoun during the 1986-87 season Sue Ellen in the last episode of the 1987-88 season Peter Ellington in the Reunion movie – War of the Ewings. In the final episode, titled “Conundrum”, J.R. is contemplating committing suicide. Southfork was taken out of his control and given to Bobby by Miss Ellie, Cliff Barnes now had control of Ewing Oil, Clayton had given JR voting rights at Weststar but JR was tricked into believing he would become Chairman of Weststar by Carter McKay. Jr had sold his half of Ewing oil to Cliff to takeover Weststar but old foe Dusty Farlow revealed that he had sold his Weststar shares to McKay thus making McKay the majority stoc
