Electronic reporting is conducted only by laboratories, as it has been done to report CD4<200 test results since 1992. Hospital, commercial and public health laboratories that conduct confirmatory Western Blot, PCR, p24, viral load and CD4 tests can report electronically. If a laboratory is not able to report electronically, it should complete a paper report. Physicians are required to use the paper report form: "Medical Provider HIV/AIDS and Partner/Contact Report." • Does electronic laboratory reporting include faxing?
