Who is SSI?
THOMAS RIISAGER is the Albert Wohlstetter Fellow of Russian Studies at the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center. Before joining NPEC, Mr. Riisager worked for Michael Page International, an accountancy recruitment firm based in London, as a consultant to multinational corporations and Russian businesses operating in the former Soviet Union. He served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps as a Soviet order of battle specialist and has interpreted for joint U.S.–Russian military activities and translated documents from Russian and German across a wide variety of topics for a number of public companies and institutions, including the World Health Organization. Mr. Riisager obtained his master’s degree in Interpreting and Translating (Russian and German) from the University of Bath (UK) in 1998, and is a graduate of the United States Military Intelligence School and the Defense Language Institute. *The above information may not be current.
