Who is Saint Marks UMC?
The Redevelopment Committee has been meeting since November to discuss the future of Saint Marks. We had our second session with our outside consultant on April 19 & 20. Our Visions Statement sums it up: Saint Marks United Methodist Church is a congregation of Christians maturing spiritually. As a growing multi-cultural church family, we invite and welcome all persons who are searching for a spiritual home. Our mission is both local and global, based on the melding of scripture, reason, tradition, and experience. We seek to serve Rockville Centre and neighboring communities through: • witnessing and sharing our faith; • ministry with and to persons in need (spiritual, economic, emotional); • ecumenical and inter-faith fellowship; • identifying and meeting the changing and on-going needs of the area.
