Who is a Tourist Guide in Turkey?
A tourist guide in Turkey is a person who possesses a professional license issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which entitles him to promote Turkey to local and foreign tourists in the best possible way, to assist them during the course of excursions, and to provide them with the correct information. Within the borders of the Republic of Turkey: “No person without the professional license issued by the Ministry is allowed to practice the profession of tourist guiding. In compliance with the general provisions, the Public Prosecutors shall start the legal proceedings against any violators.
