Who Invented the Tin can?
The tin can was invented by a man named Peter Durand and, on a related subject, the tin can opener was invented in 1858, in Waterbury, Connecticut, by a man named Ezra Warner. Before the invention of the can opener, cans had to be opened with a hammer and a chisel or another object that could puncture through the thick tin. Over the years, tin cans have gotten thinner and thinner.
