Jim Verinis brought Stuka onto the crew when he rejoined the “Memphis Belle” for the return to the United States and for the bond tour. Jim was given Stuka by his crew of the “Connecticut Yankee,” which he piloted after flying his first five missions with the “Belle.” Jim was the first 8th AF crewmember to complete 25 missions.
