I don’t pray to anyone or anything. Most Buddhists don’t. Some Buddhists practice other religions though, and they pray to their respective god(s). Tibetan Buddhism is deeply entrenched in the native religion of Tibet, so it does have prayer wheels and prayer flags, but those prayers go out to the Universe, to no named One or Thing.

They pray more for concepts like enlightenment for all beings and peace in the world, release from attachment to ego etc. So the cycle of reincarnation can be ended and all beings can end their suffering.

Buddhists do not believe that the Buddha was a god, just simply enlightened. When they pray it is to the Buddha within themselves, their own Buddha-nature. Well, that is if you follow some schools of Mahayana Buddhism.
