Who Created the Muppets?
Though a pretty simple green frog, the voice behind Kermit was a creative genius. Muppets’ creator Jim Henson, who played Kermit, started his career as puppeteer for a local TV station in the mid-1950s. From Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, books, DVDs to the Muppet movies, Henson’s cast of puppet characters are arguably the most popular children’s characters in the world.
