SureScripts was founded in 2001 by the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). These associations together represent the interests of over 55,000 chain and independent community pharmacies in the U.S. SureScripts was organized to support a strategic industry alliance to promote true electronic connectivity between pharmacists and physicians, and improve the safety and efficiency of the prescribing process.
