Who chooses the films that are sent?

Films are chosen with the aid of an Advisory Board that includes directors of some of the worlds leading film institutions, including Richard Pena from the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Christian Gaines of American Film Institute, Nate Kohn of Roger Eberts Overlooked Film Festival, Bethann Hardison of New York African Film Festival and New York Womens Film Festival, Bo Smith of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Patricia Finneran of Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival, Nicole Guillemet of Miami International Film Festival, and Matt Dentler of South by Southwest Film Festival.
A. Film Movement titles are chosen by an acquisitions team with over 30 years combined experience in the independent film industry. They travel around the world to the leading domestic and international film festivals, covering thousands of films to bring you the most innovative, exciting and groundbreaking award winning pictures. We make our selections carefully, and always make sure our films are both entertaining and thought-provoking.
