Who can use Selkie Rescue?
Selkie Rescue was designed to be used by everyone, from novice PC owners to experienced technicians. It has two modes of operation, Basic and Advanced. In Basic mode the user only needs to know the network name of the computer used to rescue data files. If you don’t know the network name or a network doesn’t exist, Selkie Rescue Data Recovery will automatically create one. Selkie Rescue takes care of everything else. In Advanced mode the technician has almost total control over how Selkie Rescue operates, avoiding malfunctioning hardware, and specifying exactly how the rescue computer and Selkie Rescue Data Recovery will communicate. back How do I use Selkie Rescue? To use Selkie Rescue Data Recovery the failed computer must be networked with a working computer, called the rescue computer. First, start up (boot) the failed computer to the Selkie Rescue CD, reading the screens. Hit Enter until you can choose your workgroup name. Keep hitting Enter until it tells you to go to the rescue
