Who are the sheep He wants Peter to feed?
We are the sheep of His pasture, but most of us have been sitting in church and are quite well fed, full, overstuffed, so it is not the sheep in the fold He is talking about. It stands clear that it is the hungry, cold, sick, lost sheep wandering through the mountains looking for spiritual food He wants Peter to feed. What does Jesus want Peter to feed them? He made provision for the food. He died, crucified to provide food for the world… He became food for the world. How is Peter supposed to feed them? Just bring them Jesus. Sharing the excitement of his personal experience with the Lord is Peter’s most appealing feast to offer the hungry. All He needs Peter to be is the server. Now, you too, go feed the hungry sheep.
