Which part of toronto has majority hindus and sikh population(i.e. little india)?
On Gerrard Street, between Greenwood Avenue and Coxwell Avenue, this area is commonly referred to as “Little India”, or “Little Pakistan”. There are many Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Afghanistani restaurants, cafés, videos/DVD stores, clothing shops, electronic goods & home decor stores catering to the South Asian-Canadian communities. A group of Hindu and Sikh merchants have formed the “Gerrard India Bazaar Business Improvement Area” (BIA) in that area. The BIA sponsors events that appeal to the different South Asian groups that shop in the area. These events include Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, and Eid, the Islamic feast day that marks the end of Ramadan. As for rental prices, I would need to know how many bedrooms, baths, number of tenants, furnished or unfurnished, etc. Search the internet for “Toronto” “Apartments” and you can supply your own criteria to search more accurately.
