Which parrot is better?
Congo African greys are generally larger than Timnehs.Timnehs are darker grey in color, lighter in body weight and their tails are darker maroon rather than the red of the Congo. Congos are more silver than grey, more heavy-bodied than Timnehs, and some claim that Congos are more prone to psychological problems. I have not found this to be the case. Timneh Greys also have a bi-colored beak. The top beak becomes a bone color and the bottom beak will be black while a Congo Grey will have a beak with both halves colored black. There is no proven difference in talking ability between Timnehs or Congos or between males or females. Please see http://www.anafricangrey.ca/ for more information regarding your African Grey parrot.
