Which linux distribution to use for industrial software application?

I am developing an industrial software application. It is a distributed system with servers processing sensors data and some workstations. Servers don’t use GUI and workstation use QT. I was wondering if there are some tips to choose a linux distribution for this kind of applications. I am evaluating Red Hat and Suse, since I have used both before.
