Which bodies certify wireless devices? As in who are FCC, CE and SAR?
FCC stands for Federal Communications Commission. It is a body responsible for rating computer and equipments as class A or B. These ratings indicate how much radiation the equipment emits. Class A equipment are suitable for office use while class B equipment are suitable for home use. This device has been classified under class B. CE is a certification whereby it indicates that a device have fulfilled the regulatory testing approvals required by most countries, which includes Safety, Emissions and Immunity. SAR stands for Specific Absorption Rate. It is intended to indicate the amount of radio-frequency energy absorbed into human tissue by a radio transmitter. As such, obtaining this certification indicates that the energy absorbed by human are at a safe level.
